Handcrafted Artifacts for Ritual, Tradition, and Legacy
The Sentinel is the signature object of Canyon Crest Woodworks.
Each Sentinel is carved from solid American black walnut and created to represent the traditions and identities of the communities that inspire it — from harbor patrol units and veteran riders to anglers and hot-rod builders.
Every piece is individually crafted in the Canyon Crest workshop in Mission Viejo, California. No two are identical.
Typical production time: 2–4 weeks.

Start a Commission
Many Canyon Crest Woodworks pieces begin as commissions for collectors, clubs, and organizations.
Law enforcement units, veteran motorcycle clubs, fishing groups, and private collectors often commission pieces that incorporate their own insignia, stories, or imagery.
Commissions often begin with a simple conversation about the story or tradition the piece is meant to represent.
How We Approach the Work
We build walnut objects meant for personal spaces.
Not display-only pieces, and not disposable décor.
Our work focuses on material, proportion, and restraint. Each piece begins with solid walnut and is shaped, engraved, and finished with the expectation that it will be used, handled, and kept for years.
We design slowly, produce in small batches, and avoid trends that don’t age well. Personalization is offered where it adds meaning, not noise.
